  • Minimizes downtime, cleaning, and recoating costs

BSB60 Nano-Dynamis Anti-Fouling is a transparent, ready-to-use nanocoating that provides long-lasting protection against marine growth, including algae, barnacles, and biofilm on metal surfaces. Powered by polysilazane technology, it forms a durable chemical bond with the substrate and cures at room temperature with atmospheric humidity. The coated surface resists the adhesion of fouling agents and is easy to clean, reducing the need for frequent recoating.

  • What surfaces can this coating be used on?

This coating is ideal for marine, industrial, and infrastructure surfaces that are prone to biofouling. Suitable surfaces include painted or bare metal, GRP, marine plastics, underwater equipment, ship hulls, offshore platforms, and submerged surfaces in coastal or brackish water zones.

  • Is the coating transparent? Will it change the look of the surface?

Yes, the coating is completely transparent and does not alter the surface’s appearance, gloss, or color.

  • What is the average coverage area for the coating?

The average coverage area is 12-15 ml/m², depending on the porosity and surface texture.

  • What are the right tools to use to apply the coating?

Use microfiber applicators or HVLP spray systems. For large surfaces like ship hulls or metal structures, spray application by trained personnel is recommended.

  • What condition does the substrate need to be prior to application?

The surface must be dry, clean, and free from grease, salts, and any previous biofilm or coatings. Ensure it is thoroughly dried, especially in hard-to-reach areas.

  • What is the application process & curing period?

Apply in dry conditions at temperatures above 5°C. The coating is touch-dry in 1 hour and water-resistant in 8-12 hours. Full curing takes 5-7 days at room temperature, but it can cure faster with elevated heat.

  • What are the safety instructions & precautions to take during applications?

Follow the Safety Data Sheet and ensure that proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn. Only trained personnel should perform the application.

  • Can i paint over the coating?

No, painting over the coating is not recommended, as it repels most paints and coatings. Painting should only be done before application.

  • Will the coating discolor, crack or peel off?

The coating will not discolour, crack, or peel off. It is UV-stable and forms a highly durable bond with the substrate once cured.

  • Can I remove the coating to paint/repaint the surface?

The coating can be removed for repainting, but this requires sanding or abrasion. It cannot be removed with standard chemical cleaners.

  • How do I clean the surface post-coating?

Use pH-neutral to mildly alkaline cleaners (pH 3-12). Biofouling is easier to remove with gentle brushing or pressure cleaning, avoiding harsh chemicals.
